Hop down, grab the Midgardsormr Magicite, and an enraged yeti (!) will attack. Afterward, a gap will open up behind the fight area. You'll battle a powerful Esper here named Valigarmanda. This is the site of the battle against Kefka's forces during the climax of the first "arc" of the game, up in Narshe's snowfields. Return to the location of the frozen Magicite that an enslaved Terra investigated alongside the ill-fated Biggs and Wedge at the very beginning of the game. Stick around in Narshe for Umaro, as we go over below. Its split-party pathways are a precursor to what you'll be seeing in Kefka's Tower, too.įind Mog at the Moogles' Den, where he'll tell you he thought everyone was dead and went home. Locke's full-fledged dungeon, Phoenix Cave, is a vast place filled with treasure. (Well, you can head there before recruiting more members, but it's rough tides.) On the other hand, hey. On the one hand, it's unfortunate that one of Final Fantasy 6's most high-profile protagonists takes this long to reacquire. Attempt to speak with him with Relm in your party, and he'll quickly snap out of it. Strago won't join until after you have recruited Relm, at which point you should go see his bizarre activities at the Cultists' Tower, which runs alongside the Serpent Trench. Enter Owzer's Manse, turn on the upstairs light, and make ready for some freaky fights culminating in a boss. If she isn't there, check Shadow's cave, after which she'll head over to Jidoor. Best him in the arena, and he'll acquiesce to your request. Bet your newfound ninja sword here to summon Shadow. Find the Ichigeki near the end of the cave the party leaves Shadow to rest in Kohlingen thereafter. Head inside, and you'll soon square off against the Behemoth King. Fly there, but rather than getting off, hug the south shoreline until you come upon a cavern. Second, you should know where the Veldt is check the Gau section of our guide for help. First, you'll never find him if he died on the Floating Continent. Shadow is, perhaps predictably, a tricky one. With Terra by your side, you'll face off against Humbaba once more, after which the green-haired witch is yours to command. You'll be forced to battle a creature called Humbaba on your way out defeat it, return to Mobliz (so long as you've got the Falcon if not, wait until you do) and find Terra hiding inside the westernmost house. Terra's not too keen on departing Mobliz. It's Terra, and she's become something of an adoptive mother to the orphans here whose parents perished per Kefka's whims.

Speaking of Mobliz, there is someone worth finding there, but it's no supposed boyfriend. Enter Zozo's pub, ascend the staircase, use the Rust Rid to open a door, and you'll be treated to a short dungeon with an emotionally turbulent Knight of Doma at its end. Go there, chat with a conspicuous merchant at the northern stretch of the city, and purchase the 'Rust Rid' item from them. Thing is, the carrier pigeon's clearly headed elsewhere - Zozo, to be exact. Find the small house with a woman inside and speak with her to learn her alleged boyfriend's been sending her letters from Mobliz. You've been here before, but that was when the planet made sense now it's far from its original location. There's a village on the southwestern continent called Maranda. Fight a few battles in this fashion and the wild kid is happily aboard the airship.

The trouble is, Gau runs away if you have a full party. Locating the Veldt requires flying the Falcon over to the northeastern edge of the World of Ruin, but there's no mistaking its dryness once you're there.
#MOG FINAL FANTASY 6 DANCES FREE#
If, for whatever reason, that's your end goal here, by all means, feel free to stop reading! The reason that the game can be completed at this point is that Setzer's dungeon paves the way toward the Falcon, a new airship that can shuttle you off to Kefka's Tower. With Edgar back, take Figaro Castle to Kohlingen and visit the town pub.

Follow him all the way to South Figaro, then Figaro Cave, and finally Figaro Castle. Here, Celes espies a man who looks suspiciously like our King Edgar. Still, there is a path of sorts that players must follow once they've reached the mainland from Cid's island, and following that path will take you to Nikeah. The whole planet's skewed now, with towns and landmarks tossed out all willy-nilly across brand-new continents. Short of turning off the game forever, there is nothing you can do to prevent this from happening. You literally start out in the World of Ruin as Celes. Unless you're drastically overleveled, you will likely find it extremely difficult to progress through the game's final dungeon in this manner, but it's technically doable.
